Terms and Conditions – Richard John, Magician
-
The client must provide a clean, private space at the venue for Richard John to change, if required. A toilet is not acceptable for this purpose. The performance will not commence until this condition is met.
-
Richard John reserves the right to distribute business cards during the event unless a third-party contract explicitly prohibits this. Such restrictions must be presented in writing.
-
During Stage or Parlour performances, no members of the public may access the performance area or stage until all props have been safely removed, unless invited by Richard John.
-
The client must provide a secure, dry location for Richard’s props and bag. Close-up and stage shows require a private area away from guests for setup and preparation.
-
A soft drink must be made available to Richard John upon arrival at the venue.
-
Richard John – Magician is an independent performer and does not represent the views, branding, or affiliations of any venue, company, or third party he may work with.
-
If additional performance time is requested beyond the contracted duration, it will be charged at a rate of £100 per hour, unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing via email.
-
In the rare event of abusive or disruptive behaviour, Richard John reserves the right to pause or cease the performance until the individual is removed. The client remains liable for the full fee unless an alternative agreement is reached via email.
-
The full balance for the booking must be paid no later than 24 hours before the event date, unless otherwise stated in writing. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the performance, with the client still liable for the agreed fee.
-
Any changes to event timing or scheduling must be confirmed and agreed by email.
-
All deposits are non-refundable, except in the unlikely event that Richard John is unable to attend. If this occurs, a replacement magician of equal quality will be sourced, unless the client decides otherwise.
-
If the event is cancelled less than 1 month before the agreed date, the client will be liable for the full fee.
-
Cancellations made 2 months prior to the event will incur 50% of the agreed fee.
-
Cancellations made 3 months prior will incur 25% of the agreed fee.
-
All cancellations must be confirmed both via telephone and email.
-
If parking charges apply at the venue, the client is responsible for covering these costs.
